Lester W. Packard

PORTLAND – Lester W. Packard, 68, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Lester was born in Lewiston on May 30, 1952, the oldest of six children of Warren and Helen (Goffin) Packard. In 1975 he married Gloria Merrill. Lester worked as a truck driver and was named the Maine Motor Transportation Driver of the year in 2016.

Lester was the president of CMA Redeemed Riders and a member of the United Bikers of Maine. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was quick to help those around him and is loved by many.

Lester is survived by his wife, Gloria, his children, Janet, Lester Jr, Matt and Alicia, his mother Helen Poirier, grandchildren Nolan and Corabelle and his five brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his father Warren.

Graveside Services will be held Friday May 21, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery, King Street, Oxford. Visiting hours will be Thursday May 20, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main Street, Oxford. To share online memories and condolences with the family please go to
