An Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s fan has recreated Scarlet Witch’s costume from WandaVision, and made it available for fans to download.
A creative Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan has recreated Scarlet Witch’s outfit from WandaVision, with a little added twist. Set after the events of Marvel’s 2019 film, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision focuses on the characters Scarlet Witch and Vision. The series premiered earlier this year on Disney+ in January, to much acclaim from critics and fans.
Despite it being over a year since Animal Crossing’s release, players’ love for the game has yet to diminish, and they have continued to create delightful interpretations of their favorite characters within the game. This is thanks to the in-game feature that allows players to create custom designs for outfits and items, which has helped fans make characters such as Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, and even recreate WandaVision’s “Agatha All Along” song.

Recently, skilled Animal Crossing fan okayshima_ shared her custom Scarlet Witch outfit on Reddit. The outfit uses the red Impish Horns as Wanda’s headdress, and the custom-designed costume features a little twist, with the front being Wanda’s costume for the season finale, and the back being her traveling hood. Luckily, okayshima_ was kind enough to include the creator code and create different skin tones for her design, so fans of the show can easily get their hands on Scarlet Witch’s costume. However, it should be noted that Animal Crossing players require a Nintendo Online subscription in order to be able to access custom designs made by other players.
In the Reddit thread, okayshima_ explained that she created the custom design after seeing that nobody has attempted to recreate Scarlet Witch’s costume in Animal Crossing thus far. This may be due to the fact that the outfit seems incredibly complex to create in pixel art form, but nonetheless, okayshima_ managed to nail the design. Not only did she put in the hard work creating the costume, but she provided fans with an excellent tip for a photo op: by using Animal Crossing‘s Mario warp pipes (introduced during the MAR10 update for the game,) players popping out of the pipes in Wanda’s outfit will be able to look like they are flying just like in WandaVision.
The custom design feature has continued to keep Animal Crossing interesting for players, with the only limit being their imaginations. The continued success of the game, which has sold over 31 million copies globally thus far, means that Nintendo’s support for New Horizons is unlikely to stop soon. While the fan base has already created some jaw-droppingly good reimaginings of their favorite characters and scenes thus far, new updates and items in the future will no doubt mean more opportunities for fans to get designing.
